FD Recruit have another Finance Director Job Vacancy for a Stoke based client – handled by our North West West Team.

Our client is privately owned multi-site manufacturer with a high profile client base who are looking to recruit an operationally focussed Finance Director. Reporting to the Chief Executive you will predominantly provide key business support and play a pivotal role in implementing the key strategic business plan. Principal responsibilities will include:

• Form a close relationship with the Chief Executive and the board
• Provide leadership to the Board’s Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimise the company’s financial performance and strategic position.
• Deliver full group consolidated statutory accounts for the annual audit
• Oversee daily & weekly cash management reporting incorporating confidential invoice discounting facility
• Challenge commercial and operational teams for improvement in areas such as customer profitability, stock control, overhead cost control and ensure they deliver on efficiency savings
• Manage treasury operations with very tight cash control
• Manage FX exposure, multi-currency hedge & swap contracts
• Provide input to strategy and direction as member of UK and Group Executive Board
• Group financial and statutory reporting
• Audit, taxation, bank, insurance external advisor relationships
• Group annual budget process across all international business units
• Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers
• Manage and develop Finance Team

Person Specification

• Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification
• Meet the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
• Exceptional communication skills at all levels
• Experience as a Finance Director within manufacturing.
