FD Recruit have another Interim Finance Director Job Vacancy for a Bedford based client – handled by our Cambridge Team.

A vacancy has arisen for an Interim Finance Director at a growing enginerring firm based in Bedford. The role will report directly to the Managing Director, and is set to run for an initial 3 month period.

Due to a number of key contract wins, this newly created role will join the company at an exciting stage in its growth. Turnover has increased by almost 25% in the past 12 months, and this is set to be boosted further by recent business wins.

As such, the successful candidate will provide advice on key market opportunities, along with completing critical project work including a complete review of current systems and processes.

Duties:

• Develop and implement business strategy
• Streamline financial processes and assess current financial systems, suggesting cost effective improvements as required
• Develop the existing finance team of 5
• Raise the profile of the organisation among key stakeholders
• Create a solid reporting framework

This is a varied, hands-on role best suited to an energetic FD with great communication and problem solving skills, and at least 4-year’s post qualification experience.

Experience within a facilities management / enginerring role is not essential, but a proven ability to make an impact within a short space of time, and provide sound financial leadership are the two core attributes required.
