A £6m turnover precision engineering business / sub contract manufacturer is looking for a Part-Time FD to manage their existing finance function (finance manager and two clerks) and recommend efficient working practices within the company finance department. Due to fluctuations in project workloads they require a birds-eye view on their existing financing requirements and working capital management. As an experienced FD with an existing portfolio of clients you will have significant manufacturing experience and will be able to recommend ideas such as raising cash, efficient management of raw materials & WIP, ensure cost effective purchasing as well as assisting in the legalities and payment terms of new contract wins. Any experience of lean manufacturing processes would be a distinct advantage.
