FD Recruit have another CFO Job Vacancy for a Bristol based client – handled by our South West Team.

Our client is a rapidly growing retail business with ambitious expansion plans. The company aims to effectively scale the business internationally to build market share and is therefore in need of a new CFO to help achieve their goals.

Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will be a key member of the board with full control for the finance function and a key contributor to the strategic direction of the business going forward.

The CFO will be responsible for all accounting related activities, including the day-to-day running of a multi-site finance team, full budgeting, forecasting and 5 year planning activity. The role holder will be responsible for appraising and building the financial control framework for the company, including implementing a suitable SME ERP system to standardise processes. Commercial support to the operations and sales functions, including pricing support for new business, working closely with the CEO and the rest of the Board to appraise new growth opportunities, and potential exit strategies to maximise shareholder return is also key.

Candidates should be qualified accountants (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) and a proven Finance Director / CFO who has operated at board level and managed complexity within an SME professional services environment, circa £50-£150m turnover. The CFO will need to have strong leadership skills and have managed broad scope finance functions. Commercial acumen and gravitas, comfortable working with sales and prior experience of implementing an ERP system would be a distinct advantage. A private equity background, including having taken a business to an exit would be advantageous.

This is an influential and challenging role in a growing business. In return, the successful candidate can expect an attractive salary of £120K plus benefits.
