FD Recruit is partnering a growing organisation in Cheshire to engage an interim FD, initially for one day per week but with potential to increase in time.  The role would suit a portfolio or fractional CFO, Senior Financial Controller or Director of Finance with capacity to provide consultancy on a part time basis through their own limited company operating outside IR35. The interim Finance Director will have the following responsibilities:

• Business partner the Managing Director to provide insight around business performance, opportunities and risks.
• Produce monthly reporting and management accounts.
• Review work of Accounts Assistant as required.
• Review current processes and provide recommendations to the MD on how to drive efficiency and process improvement. Implement changes as appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with the leadership team providing proposals to improve service provision and utilisation.
• Provide strategic guidance to the leadership team.

To be successful in this role the portfolio Finance Director will have the following experience:

• Experienced Finance Director working with small businesses.
• Strong mix of operational and strategic experience.
• Commercial mindset.
• Ability to drive efficiency through improved processes.
• Experience of Xero beneficial.

The rate advertised for this role is a guideline and the rate offered will be commensurate with experience.
