Our client is offering a unique opportunity to join their expanding business as a commercial & strategic Finance Director, managing a range of SME businesses including a service and contracting business.

This finance role will report directly to the Managing Director, having accountability for:

• Formulation of strategic plans, budgeting and forecasting, and setting of annual commercial targets.
• Regulatory and management reporting covering all aspects of finance (tax, compliance, risks and control).
• Attendance at monthly board meetings to discuss any financial and operational risks, both in Corby and London.
• Creating and building external stakeholder relationships including investors.
• Company Secretarial duties

The successful candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (ACCA. ACA, CIMA qualified) with the following attributes:

• Track record as FD of SME businesses.
• Experience of different industries such as service, contracting, hotels etc.
• Experience as a strategic/commercial FD.
• Investor relations/fundraising experience.

The business is looking for a commitment of 2-3 days a week, and is mostly home-based but some travel required to Corby (Northamptonshire) and London for monthly meetings. In return, they are offering the successful candidate approx. £100K pro rata.
