FD Recruit have another interim Finance Director Job Vacancy for a Portsmouth (Hampshire) based client – handled by our South East Team.

A well established manufacturer are currently recruiting for a Finance Director for an interim 6-month contract.

As Interim Finance Director you will be tasked with a number of business critical projects as the company realises an ambitious growth plan. The primary responsibility will be to ensure that the finance department is fit for purpose. Streamlining accountancy processes, mentoring and upskilling the current team, and setting a robust reporting framework will all be part of the role’s key deliverables.

Duties:

• To work with the Managing Director to streamline key financial processes, including budget setting, monitoring and accounts closure
• To effectively advise on compliance issues
• To review and implement best value
• To manage the finance team in supporting the setting, monitoring and closure of accounts

To be considered for this role, applicants must be fully qualified accountants of graduate calibre, with at least 7 years’ experience in a financial leadership role. An ability to hit the ground running in a pressurised, and demanding interim role, along with exceptional communication skills, a strong track record in building effective working relationships rapidly, at all levels, and a forward-thinking approach to your work are all essential to this role.
