FD Recruit is currently recruiting for a talented Finance Director to join our client’s first-rate finance department.

Based in Middlesbrough, our client is an innovative and construction business.  They have seen significant growth over the last couple of years and are looking for a Finance Director to support their continued expansion.

Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Director will be responsible for managing the accounting team and supporting them to continue to exceed business expectations.  The role includes both strategic and operational responsibilities and is an exciting next step for a competent Finance Director.

Key Duties:

• Take an active role in shaping company finance strategy
• Oversee financial operations of the business
• Lead the budgeting & forecasting process
• Review company performance on an on-going basis
• Set short, medium and long term objectives
• Deliver accurate financial analysis to the company
• Manage the finance team
• Ensure the business adheres to all legal regulations
• Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
• Review operational processes and strengthen if needed
• Oversee preparation of company accounts
• Lead the budgeting & forecasting process

The ideal candidate:

• Fully experienced in finance operations, strategy and analysis
• A strong, confident leader
• Financially astute with an excellent eye for detail
• Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels
• Analytical & insightful
• 5 years’ min experience
• Must hold relevant accountancy qualification
