FD Recruit have another Finance Director Designate Job Vacancy for a Manchester based client – handled by our North West Team.

Our client is a entrepreneurial B2B Financial Services business who are looking for a qualified accountant to join them as a hands on finance director. The role will report to the managing director and will combine both hands on accounting with commercial financial modelling. The Finance Director will be responsible for financial strategy, reporting, financial controls and risk management.

About the role
•Responsible for overseeing production and analysis of year-end financial accounts; liaising with the company’s auditors,
•Overseeing preparation of P&L, Balance sheet and cash flows on a monthly basis for Board and investor purposes.
•Ensuring lodgement of company’s accounts and annual returns to Company’s House on a periodic basis.
•Responsible for reviewing, updating and implementing internal accounting systems and introducing new systems and controls where appropriate.
•Overseeing and monitoring all company expenditure and where appropriate making recommendations to individuals and teams responsible for budgets.
•Overseeing preparation and verification of MI as required for any FCA finance returns
•Reviewing firms capital adequacy requirements and ensuring this is reported in a timely manner to the Managing Director and Group Compliance Manager
•Ensuring all Statutory documentation is maintained correctly at all times and logged with Company’s House in a timely and efficient manner
•Development of the Head of Accounts.
•Overseeing the maintenance of the General Ledger; ensuring reconciliation of control accounts etc.

About you
•An ability to build strong collaborative relationships
•Good analytical, interpersonal leadership and communication skills
•Excellent excel modelling skills
•Proven learning ability with a keen desire to support the learning of others.
•Ability to demonstrate decisiveness and sound judgement on a consistent basis
•Minimum of 4 years post qualified experience some of which must have been gained in commerce and industry
