FD Recruit have another Part Time Finance Director Job Vacancy for a London based client – handled by our London Team.

Our client is a growing £5m turnover PE backed retail & hospitality business who is looking to appoint their first Finance Director to help the business with further expansion.  You will play a key part as they look to transform the business and modernise their back office function. Specific deliverables include guiding the business through change, ensuring the company utilises efficient operational procedures, enhancing systems and procedures and implementing robust management reporting tools.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with the CEO to drive and development business strategy
Challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers
Ensuring that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
Preparation of monthly accounts, KPI’s and other key reports within Group deadlines
Communicating weekly & monthly financial results to the executive team and investors.
Co-ordinating the input to (and then preparing) the Annual Budget and cash flow forecasts within Group deadlines.
Liaising with auditors ensuring year-end audit runs smoothly and within deadlines.
Treasury management including cash flow management, control over accounts payables and receivables and relationship with Bankers.
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns, monthly Intrastat submissions and other such Government reporting.
Overseeing in-house payroll function and relationship with HMRC.
Co-ordinating all contractual and legal obligations.
Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers, Auditors, Bank and Insurers.

About you:

Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE
Experience in financial leadership positions eg Financial Controller, Finance Director, CFO
Hands on approach
SME background ideally gained in a multi-channel retail or hospitality environment
This role would suit a hands-on accountant looking to combine both flexible hours with a varied hands-on and challenging senior finance position. The organisation would prefer someone looking for reduced hours with this role being their sole focus rather than as part of a portfolio of part time positions.
