Our client a small but growing slough based charity who are looking for a Head of Operations & Finance to deputise for a commercially focused CEO. My client is looking for the right hand person to support a driven and passionate CEO who is focused on business & revenue development.  The role will be to run the back office through two direct reports and you will be responsible for finance, IT, HR, legal and administration. Ideally you will have had an initial career in accounting but will have several years’ experience with wider management responsibilities. Your role will be as a key member of the leadership team and you will take a proactive part in running the central office function including recruiting, mentoring and conducting appraisals. You will also need gravitas and an extensive commercial understanding to be able to deputise for the CEO at supplier meetings and industry led conferences.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and characteristics:

• A background in finance eg a Finance Director or an accountant who has moved into operations / office management.
• Experience at developing and executing strategic plans.
• A varied background, ideally a combination of both commercial and charity sector.
• Hardworking and flexible attitude to work.
• Robust and willingness to take on new challenges.
