Our client is a growing service organisation who is setting up a Shared Service Centre at their existing Derbyshire site to support their global subsidiaries businesses. This role will initially take the lead in developing and implementing their global shared service centre and following the successful implementation will oversee all of the transactional processing activities. The position will be responsible for continually monitoring and improving the accounts payable and receivable activities to ensure they are efficient, cost effective and compliant with company policies, while driving towards a global standard. The position will also be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships to ensure the processes meet the business and finance leaders’ expectations.
Responsibilities include:
• To lead the SSC in delivering strategic objectives to the organisation
• Transitioning of activities into the centre
• Define, plan, control and manage project scope, goals and deliverables.
• Develop and manage through project lifecycle, project plans and communication documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers and management of 3rd party suppliers.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, develop and implementation of stakeholder management plan.
• Upholding the company culture, ways of working, and quality expectations. Leadership by example is implicit throughout.
• Ensuring a first class office environment for the SCC.
• The delivery of services from the SSC to the global organisations as a whole.
• The monthly management and review of all services within the SSC with key stakeholders and customers in N America and Europe.
• The delivery of a continuous best in class service and for instilling a Continual Service Improvement culture in the SSC.
• The management of the SSC finances (setting and delivering against budget and the overall programme business case).
• The identification and mitigation of risks within the SSC.
• The active support of the SSC engagement plan with the local community and the attraction of the best talent, helping team members to achieve their full potential.
• Working with the leadership to allow the continued growth of the SSC’s (measured in services and cost savings).
• Acting as an internal ambassador for the SSC internally, in particular promoting its services and capabilities with the global management as a whole and on an individual basis.
To apply you must have the following credentials
• Educated to degree level.
• Professional qualification desirable but not essential.
• Background in Finance in a shared centre environment.
• Experience in migration services to a Shared Service Centre on a global scale.
The project is expected to last circa 12 months and the successful candidate will be offered and initial 6 month contract with appropriate extensions.
