Part-Time Finance Director (2-3 Days Per Week) – Multi-Site SME, Blackburn (Lancashire)

Our client, a fast paced multi-site SME, is seeking a part-time Finance Director (2-3 days per week) to lead their finance function and provide strategic financial guidance.

The Role:
Reporting to the business owner, the Finance Director will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting while working closely with the Managing Director and operations & commercial teams. The role involves managing a finance team of five, with support from an experienced Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Provide strategic financial insight to support the business owner and leadership team.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director and operations team to drive business performance.
• Manage and mentor a team of five finance professionals, ensuring strong financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
• Support decision-making through financial analysis and reporting.

About You:

• A proven Finance Director with SME and multi-site B2C experience e.g. retail, service sector or leisure & hospitality.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, and business strategy.
• A hands-on, commercially focused approach.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
