FD Recruit is partnering a client in Cheshire to engage an portfolio FD to support and mentor the Financial Controller and finance team. The portfolio Finance Director will ensure robust processes and controls are in place and oversee the month/quarter/year end close. This would suit an interim FD looking for a part time engagement or a Portfolio FD with capacity for 2 days per week and availability to provide more support at month end as required initially. The portfolio Finance Director will have the following responsibilities:

• Support and mentor the Financial Controller and finance team of 3.
• Review and resolve any issues relating to processes.
• Provide technical support throughout month end and prepare for year end.
• Support through year end and preparation of statutory accounts.
• Business partner other areas of the business and ensure robust processes are in place and followed.

To be successful in this role the portfolio FD will have the following experience:

• Ability to hit the ground running.
• Detail oriented and able to work in a hands on capacity.
• Strong technical abilities and experienced in the production of stat accounts.
• Experience of Navision would be preferable.
• Excellent mentoring skills.

The rate advertised is a guideline and the rate offered will be commensurate with experience.
