FD Recruit is partnering a Manchester based client to engage a portfolio FD for an initial business review and then potentially a couple of days per month.  We are ideally looking for a Finance Director with experience in commercial property. The Finance Director will work closely with the MD to review the business and produce meaningful analysis of business performance and provide recommendations for improvements.  This role would suit a CFO, FD or Senior Financial Controller.  The portfolio FD will have the following remit:

• Conduct a review of the financial position of the organisation.
• Produce robust reporting on business performance.
• Create a robust cashflow forecast and include various what if scenarios.
• Produce analysis and recommendations on possible operational improvements.
• Support the Managing Director and provide guidance as required.
• Attend and chair board meeting with with the senior leadership team.

To be successful in this role the Finance Director will have the following experience:

• Experienced Finance Director with strong technical skills and ability to produce meaningful reporting.
• Ability to work in a hands on capacity and in the detail.
• Proven track record in a similar engagement with the ability to add value quickly.
• Experience of Xero preferred.
• Experience within the commercial property sector would be a definite advantage.
• Strong communication skills and ability to challenge positively when required.

The rate advertised for this engagement is a guideline and the rate offered will be commensurate with relevant experience.
