FD Recruit is partnering an owner managed business to engage a portfolio FD for 2 days per week working fully remotely in the UK. The company, founded in the UK, is growing rapidly and services customers in the US across all 52 states and also some customers in the UK.  The Finance Director will be engaged to bring accounting in house, implementing management reporting, creating end to end finance processes and identifying the appropriate structure of the finance team.  This role would suit a Finance Director or senior Financial Controller.

The portfolio FD will have the following responsibilities:

• Implement a month end process, KPI and month end reporting to provide visibility of performance to the owners.
• Produce monthly management accounts and present to the board.
• Identify the appropriate structure of the finance team.
• Ensure robust controls are in place.
• Business partner with department heads to maximise opportunities and drive cost efficiencies where appropriate.
• Provide insightful reporting and management information to the owners to aid decision making.
• Ensure that the company is compliant with reporting requirements.

To be successful in this role the portfolio FD will have the following experience:

• Experienced finance leader with a track record of working in a hands on capacity.
• Strong technical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience of Business Central highly desired.
• Ability to hit the ground running and make an impact quickly.
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills.

The rate advertised for this role is a guideline and the rate offered will be commensurate with experience.
